Chinese Niu Year Spirit In ChinaTown

God Of Fortune - Cai Sen Ye
Picture Taken At Chinatown, its a gigantic air filled Cai Sen Ye.

One week to CNY (Chinese New Year). Planned to go Chinatown for photo taking and see the crowd to bring some spirit of CNY.

Yes, its indeed Niu (Ox in Chinese) year in Chinatown.

The kiasu spirit, the favourite queuing as long as dragon always there. Every year I can see, there are people queuing up for bak kua (the red slices of barbie q meat). Very popular in Singapore, people buying as gifts in the CNY.

The decoration along the Chinatown street, I think it will be nice during the night light, we went there in the morning, so can only take some pictures of Niu (cow) and CaiSenYe (God of Fortune) very big.

Maybe because of the recession time, the crowds not as much as the year before.

We got some good bargains tough, square cushion covers only $2 each, bought 5 for my mum-in-law as they just moved to new house and got new furniture.

Also got a qipao (traditional Chinese dress) for my little princess, I just prepare for her in case her school asked her to wear traditional clothes during special occasion.
I will be posting more pictures for the spirit of Chinese Niu Year 2009.
